PNA LOGO inception
At the AGM in October 2021 the new Pain Nurses Australia logo was approved.
A design was suggested by the then Chairperson of PIGNI and the final logo was developed by a professional branding company, Fuels Creative, ABN 63020240021
The final PNA logo is loosely based on the onion ring model of pain which was first developed by Professor Loeser eminent neurologist and neurosurgeon and Director of the Multidisciplinary Pain Centre from 1982-1997 at the University of Washington.
There have been many different versions of the ‘Onion ring’ models. Like an onion this conceptual model has inner and outer layers, but unlike and onion these layers interact with one another to reflect the whole experience of pain with physical and emotional components.
