About this webinar
Children are always learning what pain means. They learn from their own body, from family, from health professionals, from school, from sport, and from the wider culture around them. Those meanings can shape fear, coping, behaviour, help-seeking, and recovery in powerful ways. In this webinar, Josh will explore how children and families make sense of pain, why this matters in clinical practice, and how clinicians can communicate in ways that are accurate, helpful, and developmentally appropriate (for adults too!). Drawing on research in paediatric pain and pain science education, the session will offer practical ideas for better conversations with children and their families.
